What is your spirt animal: Probably a cat seeing as how I am about 1 cat away from a crazy cat lady.
BIggest Motivation: Some combination of maintaining good fitness and always trying to better my movements.

Favorite Workout fuel: Caramel Nut protein bites from Special K (they're bite sized so I can eat as much or as little as I want) paired with some pre-workout to get me moving in the morning.
Favorite lift: Clean, power or squat
Least favorite lift: Snatch...
Favorite workout so far: Uhh this is hard because they all blur together in my head. I really enjoyed the last time we did Fran. It was exciting to see that I had shaved off almost 2 minutes from my previous PR.
Athlete of the month goals
Personal: Survive the holidays! I would be proud of myself if I manage to ship all my family's presents home before Christmas Day.
Professional: This probably won't make much sense, but I volunteered for a project at work that involves collecting evidence for the lab's upcoming CAP inspection. I'm striving to complete my assigned list by December 31st.
Athletic: My list of goals is endless, but I think this month I would like nail down toes to bar on the bar (and not the rings).
Why do you choose MC CrossFit?
CrossFit was first recommended to me by a personal trainer I saw when I lived in Omaha in 2013. For the next several years I spent time googling and researching Crossfit, but when it came to taking the plunge, I always had the same textbook excuses: it's expensive, I'm not good enough, I'm going to hurt myself, etc. Over the next few years, I stuck with other gym options, and also began running. MC CrossFit sort of fell into my life at just the right time. Around the time the gym was opening, I had developed ITBS which sidelined me from running. It left me feeling pretty defeated. When Andy and I discovered that a new CrossFit gym was opening in our neighborhood, I saw it as a sign and haven't looked back. I really enjoy the community and acceptance MC CrossFit provides. It doesn't matter your skill level, everyone wants you to be the best you can be. From Saturday WOD banter to the fist bumps on SugarWOD to the coaches always pushing me to work harder because they know I can; I love it all!
